Annamaria Kokenyne is a Lead Financial Sector Expert in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department. She has joined the IMF in 2005 after a 20-years carrier in the Ministry of Finance in Hungary where she. At the IMF, she has been involved in policy, surveillance and technical assistance work on current and capital account management, foreign exchange regime reforms and exchange rate issues. She has co-authored the IMF’s Institutional View on the liberalization and management of capital flows and provided technical assistance to a range of countries on both capital account liberalization and capital flow management. Her current research covers the use and effectiveness of capital controls on which she has also published.
